If you’re not familiar with Flint, Steve, Berry and the Tacodile…Supreme!, you haven’t yet seen Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 ! Fortunately, it’s coming out on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD on January 28th.
This movie picks up a few years after the end of the first Cloudy movie. (If you haven’t seen the first one yet, I’d definitely recommend checking it out before watching Cloudy 2). Flint Lockwood thought he saved the world at the end of Cloudy 1 by destroying his FLDSMDFR (also known as the Flint Lockwood Diatonic Super Mutating Dynamic Food Replicator), but in fact, you soon learn that the machine survived and instead of just creating food, the FLDSMDFR has evolved to create food animals or “foodimals” as they are known. These creative creatures are some of the highlights of the movie.
For the next week after my kids and I watched this movie, we were constantly coming up with our own “foodimals” based on our meals. A fun way to get kids excited about new fruits and veggies.
The movie is being released in three formats – Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD. All of the versions include commentary with the directors, seven new featurettes, as well as the “La Da Dee” music video and making of it. In addition to all that, the 3D Blu-ray Combo pack and Blu-ray Combo packs have special deleted scenes and four exclusive Mini-Movies – “Attack of the 50-Foot Gummi Bear”, “Steve’s First Bath”, “Super Manny” and “Earl Scouts” – all of which are hilarious and perfect for any Cloudy fan.
